தாம்பரம், பெருங்களத்தூர், சிங்கப்பெருமாள் கோவில் பகுதிகளில் காலை மற்றும் மாலை நேரங்களில் வாகன நெரிசல் அதிகரித்தது. மழை காரணமாக சாலைகள் நனைந்ததால் வாகனங்கள் மெதுவாக நகர்ந்தன. இதனால் அலுவலகம் மற்றும் பள்ளிக்கு செல்லும் பொதுமக்கள் பெரும் அவதியடைந்தனர்.
பெரும்பாலான வாகனங்கள் சிக்னல்களில் நின்று நீண்ட நேரம் காத்திருந்தன. போலீசார் போக்குவரத்தை சீர்படுத்த தீவிர நடவடிக்கை எடுத்து வருகின்றனர். மழைக்கால போக்குவரத்து பணியில் மக்கள் ஒத்துழைக்குமாறு வேண்டுகோள் விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
Heavy traffic snarls were reported on Chennai’s GST Road near Tambaram, Perungalathur, and Singaperumal Koil due to continuous rainfall and increased vehicle movement. The slippery roads slowed traffic flow, causing long delays for office-goers and students.
Traffic police have been deployed in full strength to manage congestion and ensure smoother movement. Authorities have urged motorists to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with police during peak hours amid ongoing rain-related disruptions.
