ரயில் பயண வசதி மேம்பாடு – புதிய நடைமுறை | Indian Railways introduces passenger-friendly rule
2025 டிசம்பர் 6 முதல், 45 வயது மற்றும் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட பெண்கள் பயணிகளுக்கு ரயில்களில் லோயர் பெர்த் வழங்கும் நடைமுறை அமலுக்கு வந்துள்ளது. மூத்த குடிமக்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டிருந்த இந்த வசதி, தற்போது பெண்கள் பயணிகளுக்கும் விரிவுபடுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளதாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
முன்பதிவு செய்யும் போது லோயர் பெர்த் தேர்வு செய்தால், கிடைப்பின் அடிப்படையில் அதையே வழங்க ரயில்வே நிர்வாகம் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கும் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. நீண்ட தூர பயணங்களில் பெண்கள் சந்திக்கும் சிரமங்களை குறைக்கும் வகையில் இந்த முடிவு எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக அதிகாரிகள் கூறினர்.
From December 6, 2025, women passengers aged 45 years and above will be eligible for lower berth allotment in trains. This facility, which was earlier available mainly to senior citizens, has now been extended to women passengers as part of passenger comfort measures.
According to Indian Railways, women opting for lower berths at the time of booking will be allotted the same, subject to availability. The move aims to make long-distance train travel safer and more comfortable for women passengers across the country.
