A minor improvement was observed in Delhi’s air quality following light rains and strong winds, which helped disperse pollutants. However, out of 38 monitoring stations, 28 still recorded “very poor” air quality levels, with the AQI crossing 300 in several zones.
Authorities have attributed the persistent pollution to vehicular emissions, industrial smoke, and seasonal crop burning. Citizens have been advised to limit outdoor activities and wear protective masks as precautionary measures until the air quality improves further.
