கரூர் சம்பவத்திற்குப் பிறகு திமுக அரசு வெளியிட்ட புதிய பாதுகாப்பு நடைமுறைகளில், 500 பேருக்கு மேற்பட்ட கூட்டங்களுக்கு கட்டாயமாக பாதுகாப்பு அனுமதி பெற வேண்டும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஒவ்வொரு அமைப்பும் 4 லிட்டர் குடிநீர் வசதி மற்றும் அவசர மருத்துவ உதவி ஏற்பாடு செய்ய வேண்டும் எனவும் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
மேலும், 5,000 முதல் 50,000 பேர் வரை கலந்து கொள்கிற கூட்டங்களுக்கு ரூ.1 லட்சம் முதல் ரூ.20 லட்சம் வரை வைப்பு தொகை செலுத்த வேண்டும். எதிர்பார்த்த வருகை எண்ணிக்கையை 50% மீறினால் பாதுகாப்பு நடவடிக்கை தொடங்கப்படும் என எச்சரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
கூட்டங்கள் அதிகபட்சம் 3 மணி நேரத்தில் முடிக்கப்பட வேண்டும். அவசர சேவைகள் பாதிக்கப்படாமல் மாற்றுத் திட்டம் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும் என்றும் அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
Following the Karur incident, the Tamil Nadu government has announced new safety regulations for political gatherings. Events with over 500 attendees now require prior approval and must include basic amenities like drinking water and first aid.
For gatherings of 5,000 to 50,000 people, organizers must deposit between ₹1 lakh and ₹20 lakh as a security fee. If attendance exceeds 50% of the approved limit, authorities will intervene immediately.
Meetings must not exceed three hours, and alternate arrangements should be made to avoid disruption of essential services.
