Nissan Motor Co. has sold its Yokohama global headquarters to MJI Capital for approximately ¥142 billion (₹8,200 crore) as part of its ongoing financial restructuring. Under the agreement, Nissan will lease back the property for 20 years, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
The move aims to boost liquidity and redirect capital toward AI-driven innovation and digital transformation initiatives. Analysts view this as a strategic step by Nissan to streamline assets and focus on long-term growth in the evolving automotive sector.
