Turmeric farmers in Erode and nearby districts have expressed concern over the sharp decline in market prices. Reduced rainfall and export limitations have further impacted production and trade.
Farmer associations have urged the government to fix a Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹20,000 per quintal to protect growers from severe financial losses. They have also demanded immediate intervention to stabilize the market.
