பொங்கல் பண்டிகையை முன்னிட்டு ஊர்களுக்குச் செல்லும் பயணிகளுக்காக தென் ரயில்வே முன்பதிவு சேவையை இன்று தொடங்கியுள்ளது. நவம்பர் 15ஆம் தேதி முதல் பொங்கல் சிறப்பு ரயில்கள் இயக்கப்படும் என்று அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
திருவிழா கால கூட்டத்தை சமாளிக்க கூடுதல் ரயில்களும் இயக்கப்பட உள்ளன. சென்னை, மதுரை, திருச்சி, கோயம்புத்தூர் உள்ளிட்ட முக்கிய வழித்தடங்களில் சிறப்பு ரயில்கள் இயக்கப்படும் என்று தென் ரயில்வே தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
Southern Railway has started advance booking for Pongal special trains, allowing passengers to secure tickets ahead of the festive rush. The booking opens today, with services commencing from November 15.
Additional trains will operate between major cities like Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, and Coimbatore to handle heavy passenger traffic. Railway officials have urged travelers to plan early to avoid last-minute congestion during the Pongal holidays.
