விருதுநகர் அருகே இரு காவலர்கள் இரவுப் பணி முடித்து வீடு திரும்பும் வழியில் தாக்கப்பட்டு உயிரிழந்த சம்பவம் பெரும் அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. இதேபோல், சென்னை மாநகராட்சி பெண் கவர்ன்மெண்ட் அலுவலர் மீதான தாக்குதல் சம்பவமும் கவலைக்குரியதாகும்.

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami has issued a strong statement condemning the recent violent incidents in Virudhunagar and Chennai. Two police officers were killed in an attack while returning home from duty, and a woman civic official was assaulted in Chennai.
Palaniswami accused the ruling government of complete administrative failure, stating that the safety of citizens and public servants is at serious risk under the current regime.
