தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டம் ஓட்டப்பிடாரம் பகுதியில் தன்னிடம் உதவி கேட்டு வந்த பெண்ணுக்கு பாலியல் தொல்லை கொடுத்ததாக ஒரு தொழிலாளி மீது குற்றச்சாட்டு எழுந்துள்ளது. சம்பவத்தில் பெண்ணின் புகாரின் பேரில் போலீசார் விசாரணை தொடங்கியுள்ளனர்.
குடும்பத் தேவைக்காக வந்த பெண் பாதுகாப்பு இல்லாமல் தொல்லை அனுபவிக்க நேரிட்டது உள்ளூரில் பெரும் அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. அரசு நடவடிக்கை எடுப்பார்களா என்ற எதிர்பார்ப்பில் மக்கள் உள்ளனர்.
