நாடு முழுவதும் நடைபெறும் வாக்காளர் பட்டியல் சிறப்பு தீவிர திருத்தப் பணியில், போலி வாக்காளர்களை கண்டுபிடிக்க செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு (AI) தொழில்நுட்பம் பயன்பாட்டுக்கு வருவதால் தேர்தல் பணிகள் மேலும் துல்லியமாக நடைபெற உள்ளன. வாக்காளர் பட்டியலில் ஒரே நபரின் பல புகைப்படங்கள், இரட்டைப் பதிவுகள், இருப்பிட வேறுபாடுகள் ஆகியவற்றை AI மிகத் துல்லியமாக ஒப்பிட்டு கண்டறியும்.
மேற்கு வங்கத்தில் தொடங்கிய இந்த முயற்சி இந்தியாவின் பல மாநிலங்களுக்கு விரிவாக்கப்பட உள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் வாக்காளர் பட்டியலின் சுத்திகரிப்பு பணிகள் வேகமாகும் என அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
AI technology is now being used in the nationwide Special Summary Revision to detect fake and duplicate voters. The system can cross-check photos, identify duplicate entries, and verify address mismatches more accurately, helping staff clean up the rolls.
Starting from West Bengal, the Election Commission plans to expand this AI-driven system nationwide. Officials say this will significantly speed up and refine the voter list purification process.
