கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டத்தில் குடித்துறை நகராட்சி அலுவலகத்தில் பணிச்சுமை மற்றும் மேலதிகாரிகளின் திடீர் நடவடிக்கைகள் காரணமாக ஏற்பட்ட மனஅழுத்தத்தால் ஒரு அலுவலர் தற்கொலை முயன்றதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. இதனை கண்டித்த தூய்மை பணியாளர்கள் இன்று அலுவலகத்தை முற்றுகையிட்டு போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.

திருமுக நகர் மன்ற செயலாளர் விநுகுமார் தலைமையிலான தீமுகவினர், தூய்மை பணியாளர்களை பணிக்கு செல்லுமாறு கேட்டபடியும், பணியாளர்கள் இருந்தபடியே போராட்டத்தை தொடர்ந்ததால் அலுவலகம் முழுவதும் பணிநிறுத்த நிலை உருவானது.
