கோவையில் உணவு பாதுகாப்பு துறை நடத்திய ஆய்வில் பல உணவுப் பொருட்களில் பூச்சிக்கொல்லி கலப்பு இருப்பது உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாக தகவல் வெளியிடப்பட்டது. மிளகாய் பொடி, மஞ்சள் பொடி உள்ளிட்ட பொருட்களில் அதிக அளவில் ரசாயனங்கள் கண்டறியப்பட்டன.
தமிழகத்தில் தயாரிக்கப்படும் சில நிறுவனங்களின் மிளகாய் பொடி, காப்பி தூள், மஞ்சள் பொடி மாதிரிகளில் அத்துமீறிய ரசாயனங்கள் இருந்ததாக ஆய்வு அறிக்கை கூறுகிறது. இதனால் உணவு பாதுகாப்பு துறை தொடர்ந்து கண்காணிப்பை அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
Food safety officials in Coimbatore have detected pesticide contamination in several masala products during a routine inspection. Samples of chilli powder, turmeric powder, and certain processed items reportedly contained chemical residues above permissible limits.
Authorities have warned consumers to buy only certified brands and advised shops to ensure product quality. Following the findings, intensified monitoring will continue across Tamil Nadu to prevent further adulteration incidents.
