தொடர்ந்து நிலவி வந்த நாட்டு உறவியல் பிரச்சினைகளால், சீன சுற்றுலா பயணிகளுக்கு விசா வழங்குதல் 5 ஆண்டுகளாக நிறுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தது. இப்போது சூழ்நிலையை மதிப்பாய்வு செய்த மத்திய அரசு மீண்டும் சுற்றுலா விசா வழங்க முடிவுசெய்துள்ளது.
அதற்கான முதற்கட்டமாக இந்தியாவில் ஏற்கனவே இருப்பவர்களின் உறவினர்களுக்கும், தொழில் காரணமாக பயணம் செய்பவர்களுக்கும் முன்னுரிமை வழங்கப்பட இருக்கிறது. அடுத்த கட்டத்தில் சுற்றுலா பயணிகளுக்கு முழுமையாக விசா வழங்கும் திட்டம் அமல்படுத்தப்படும் என தகவல்.
சீன சுற்றுலா பயணிகள் இந்தியாவில் அதிகம் செல்கின்ற நகரங்கள் — டெல்லி, சென்னை, கோவை, மும்பை போன்ற இடங்களில் சுற்றுலா வரத்து மீண்டும் அதிகரிக்கும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. இதன் மூலம் ஹோட்டல், சுற்றுலாத் துறை மற்றும் வணிகத் துறைக்கு வளர்ச்சி கிடைக்கும் வாய்ப்பு உள்ளது.
After almost 5 years of restrictions due to strained diplomatic relations, India has decided to resume issuing tourist visas for Chinese nationals. The Central Government has taken this decision after reviewing the current international and bilateral situation.
Initially, priority will be given to Chinese nationals who have family members in India or are required to travel for business purposes. In the next phase, visas will be fully opened for general tourists.
Major Indian tourist destinations such as Delhi, Chennai, Coimbatore and Mumbai are expected to see increased tourist arrivals from China. This move is anticipated to boost hotel businesses, tourism services and retail sectors across India.
