சேவையில் நடைபெற்ற விவசாயிகள் குறை தீர்க்கும் கூட்டத்தில், பொதுமக்களின் கருத்துகளை கேட்காமலேயே சாயப்பட்டரை பூங்கா அமைக்கப்படுவதாக விவசாயிகள் குற்றச்சாட்டு முன்வைத்தனர்.
பூங்கா அமைப்பது பொருந்தாத முடிவு என விவசாயிகள் வலியுறுத்தி, விவசாய நிலங்கள் பறிக்கப்படும் அபாயம் குறித்து கவலை தெரிவித்தனர்.
திருப்பூர் பகுதியிலalready ஏற்பட்ட பாதிப்புகளைப் போல் இனியும் நீர் நிலைகள் மாசடைந்து விடக் கூடாது என விவசாயிகள் குரல் எழுப்பினர்.
During the district grievances meeting, farmers expressed strong opposition, alleging that plans for constructing a park at Sayappattarai are being taken without hearing public opinion.
Farmers insisted that the decision is unacceptable and warned of the risk of agricultural lands being taken away for development in the name of beautification.
They also cited previous incidents in Tiruppur where similar projects led to pollution and destruction of water bodies, demanding that such mistakes should not be repeated.
