வங்கக்கடலில் உருவாகும் புயல் குறித்து எச்சரிக்கை வெளியிடப்பட்டது | Cyclone alert issued as system intensifies over Bay of Bengal
வங்கக்கடலின் தெற்கு பகுதிகளில் உருவாகியுள்ள காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வு, அடுத்த 48 மணி நேரத்தில் புயலாக வலுப்பெறும் வாய்ப்புள்ளதாக வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வு வடக்கு அண்டமான் கடல் பகுதிக்குத் தொடர்ந்து நகர்ந்து தீவிரமாகும் நிலையில் உள்ளது.
விசேஷமாக தமிழ்நாடு, கர்நாடகா மற்றும் ஆந்திரப் பிரதேச கடற்கரை பகுதிகளில் கடல் சூறாவளி தாக்கத்தை முன்னிட்டு மீனவர்கள் கடலுக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டாம் என எச்சரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
Cyclonic circulation over the South Bay of Bengal is showing signs of further intensification and is likely to strengthen into a cyclone within the next 48 hours, according to the Meteorological Department. The system is moving north-northwest toward the Andaman Sea with sustained wind activity being recorded.
Authorities have advised coastal residents in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh to remain cautious, while fishermen have been strictly warned not to venture into the sea until further notice.
