The Tamil Nadu government on November 24 announced a new debt-relief scheme specifically for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities. The scheme aims to completely waive loans taken for business, education, and medical emergencies, providing long-pending financial relief to affected families.
Eligible beneficiaries will not be required to submit fresh applications, as the list is prepared automatically based on official records. Authorities stated that this initiative is aimed at helping families struggling under loan burden and ensuring social equality through direct financial support.
