சென்னையில் நகை திருட்டு வழக்கில் குற்றவாளிகளை பிடிக்க முடியாத நிலை தொடர்வதாக நீதிமன்றம் கடுமையாக எச்சரித்துள்ளது. பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களின் நஷ்டத்தை மாநில அரசு ஈடு செய்ய வேண்டிய பொறுப்பு உண்டு என உயர்நீதிமன்றம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
நீதிமன்றம், பாதுகாப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளில் உள்ள குறைபாடுகள் காரணமாக மக்களுக்கு ஏற்படும் இழப்பை அரசு தட்டிக்கேட்க முடியாது என்றும் கண்டித்தது. இதைத் தொடர்ந்து, சம்பந்தப்பட்ட துறை அதிகாரிகளிடம் விவர அறிக்கையும் கோரப்பட்டுள்ளது.
In Chennai, the High Court warned that failure to trace the culprits involved in a jewellery theft case cannot be an excuse. The court stated that the Tamil Nadu Government has the responsibility to compensate the affected citizens.
The court further criticised gaps in public safety measures, noting that the burden of loss cannot be passed on to ordinary people. Following this, officials from the concerned departments have been asked to submit a detailed report soon.
