சேலம் மாவட்டம் காடையாம்பட்டிக்கு அருகே உள்ள 3 கிராமங்களுக்கு இயங்கப்பட்ட அரசு பேருந்து திடீரென நிறுத்தப்பட்டதால், அந்தப் பகுதிகளில் உள்ள பள்ளி மாணவர்கள் சாலை மறியலில் ஈடுபட்டனர். பள்ளிக்கு செல்வதில் ஏற்பட்ட சிரமம் காரணமாக குழந்தைகள் திடீர் போராட்டத்தில் இணைந்ததாக தெரிகிறது.
அரசுப் போக்குவரத்து துறையின் மெத்தனமான செயல்பாடு காரணமாக மாணவர்கள் பள்ளி பாதுகாப்பில் பாதிக்கப்படுவதாக பெற்றோர் கடும் குற்றச்சாட்டு தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். இந்த விவகாரத்தில் நிர்வாகம் உடனடி தீர்வு வழங்க வேண்டும் என்பதே பொதுமக்களின் கோரிக்கை.
