அரசு அதிகாரிகள் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதிகளுக்கு நேரில் சென்று தன்னிட்டில் முழுமையான நெற்பயிர் சேதத்தை கணக்கிட்டு, ஒரு ஏக்கருக்கு ரூ.25,000 நிவாரணமாக வழங்க வேண்டும் என்று அதிமுக பொதுச் செயலாளர் வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளார்.
தாழ்வுப் புழுதி மற்றும் குறைந்த கார்மழை காரணமாக பல இடங்களில் நெற்பயிர்கள் பெரிய அளவில் சேதமடைந்துள்ள நிலையில், இதர பயிர்களுக்குமான நிவாரணத்தையும் அரசு உடனடியாக அறிவிக்க வேண்டும் எனவும் அவர் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்.
AIADMK General Secretary has urged the government to conduct on-ground inspections in all affected regions and assess the paddy crop damage thoroughly. He demanded that a compensation of ₹25,000 per acre be provided to all farmers who have suffered losses.
He also insisted that relief measures should be extended to farmers who cultivated other crops, as widespread rainfall-related damage has affected agricultural communities across the state.
