பேச்சு சுதந்திரத்தைத் துன்புறுத்தாத வகையில் சமூக பாதுகாப்பையும் சமநிலைப்படுத்தி செயல்பட வேண்டும் என நீதிமன்றம் அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளது. இளைஞர்கள் தவறான வழிநடத்தலுக்கு ஆளாகாமல் தடுக்க அரசு நடவடிக்கைகளும் வலுப்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும் எனவும் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
The High Court has directed social media platforms to strengthen their monitoring systems to prevent abusive, obscene and socially harmful content from circulating widely. The court noted that such content has a negative impact on children and the general public, requiring proactive screening.
While emphasising the importance of free speech, the court also insisted on maintaining a balance by ensuring user safety and digital hygiene. It further urged the government to enhance measures that protect young people from being misguided by harmful online content.
