சேலம் பேரியபுதூர் பகுதியில் சிவராஜ் என்பவரின் வீட்டின் மீது நள்ளிரவில் மர்ம நபர்கள் பெட்ரோல் குண்டு வீசியதால், வீட்டில் இருந்த இருசக்கர வாகனம் தீப்பற்றி முழுவதுமாக எரிந்து நாசமானது. சம்பவம் நடந்த இடத்தில் தீவிரமான பதற்றம் நிலவியது.
வீட்டின் முன்பகுதி சுவற்றிலும் தீக்கேடு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாக தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. இந்த தாக்குதல் முன்கூட்டிய தகராறு காரணமா அல்லது வேறு காரணமா என்பது குறித்து போலீசார் விசாரணையை தீவிரப்படுத்தியுள்ளனர்.
A petrol bomb was thrown at the house of a man named Sivaraj in Periyapudhur, Salem, during the late hours of the night. The two-wheeler parked inside the premises caught fire and was completely destroyed. The incident triggered tension in the neighbourhood.
