Following the tragic incident in Karur that claimed 41 lives, a three-member oversight committee formed under court directives will begin its first round of inspection tomorrow. The team will review administrative lapses, safety failures, and conduct field-level investigations.
In response to demands for a CBI inquiry, the oversight committee aims to ensure that the investigation processes are transparent and unbiased. The panel will remain in Karur for three days to collect documents, examine witness statements, and assess all relevant evidence.
