கிருஷ்ணகிரி மாவட்டத்தில் வங்கியில் கணவர் பெயரில் வாங்கிய ரூ.66 லட்சம் கடனைத் தீர்க்க முடியாத நிலை ஏற்பட்டதை காரணமாகக் கொண்டு, கணவரை கொலை செய்த மனைவி காவல்துறையால் கைது செய்யப்பட்டார்.
தொடர்ந்து நிலவி வந்த குடும்ப தகராறின் பின்னணியில் இந்த சம்பவம் நடந்ததாக போலீசார் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். நாகர்கோயில் அருகே நடந்த விசாரணையில், கணவர் மீது ஏற்பட்ட அழுத்தமும், கடன் பிரச்சினையும் சேர்ந்து இந்த மிகக் கொடூர செயலுக்கு வழிவகுத்ததாக மனைவி ஒப்புக்கொண்டதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.
