ரஃபேல் போர்விமானங்களின் பாதுகாப்பை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்தும் வகையில், உலகின் முதல் இயங்கும் ‘ஜெரான் பீம்’ (Iron Beam) லேசர் பாதுகாப்பு அமைப்பை இணைப்பதற்கான நடவடிக்கைகள் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இந்த அறிவிப்பு 2025 டிசம்பர் 2-ம் தேதி வெளியானது.
டிசம்பர் 30-ம் தேதிக்குள் இந்த லேசர் பாதுகாப்பு அமைப்பு ரஃபேல் விமானங்களில் பயன்படுத்தத் தயாராகும் என தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. ட்ரோன் தாக்குதல், குறைந்த உயரத்தில் வரும் ஏவுகணை அச்சுறுத்தல்கள் போன்றவற்றை துல்லியமாகத் தடுக்க இந்த தொழில்நுட்பம் உதவும்.
இந்த புதிய பாதுகாப்பு அமைப்பு இந்திய விமானப்படையின் தாக்குதல் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு திறனை மேம்படுத்தும் முக்கிய முன்னேற்றமாக கருதப்படுகிறது. நவீன போர் சூழல்களில் இந்தியாவின் வான்படை தயார்நிலையை இது மேலும் உயர்த்தும் என பாதுகாப்பு வல்லுநர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர்.
India has moved to integrate the world’s first operational laser-based defence system, known as the “Iron Beam,” into its Rafale fighter jets. The development was announced on December 2, 2025, marking a significant milestone in aerial defence technology.
The laser defence system is expected to be operational by December 30 and will enhance protection against drone attacks, low-altitude missiles, and other emerging aerial threats. This system allows precise, rapid neutralisation of incoming targets.
Defence experts say the addition of laser-based protection will significantly boost the Indian Air Force’s combat readiness. It strengthens India’s strategic position by combining advanced aircraft like Rafale with next-generation defensive technology, suited for modern warfare scenarios.
