ஈரோட்டில் நடந்த போலீஸ் அதிரடி; ஆயுதங்களுடன் பிடிபட்ட இளைஞர்கள் | Police crackdown in Erode leads to arrest of armed youths
2025 டிசம்பர் 3 அன்று ஈரோடு மாவட்டம் சித்தோடு பகுதியில் பட்டாக்கத்திகளுடன் பொதுமக்களை அச்சுறுத்தும் வகையில் வலம் வந்த 6 இளைஞர்களை போலீஸார் கைது செய்தனர். வழக்கமான வாகன சோதனையின் போது சந்தேகத்திற்கிடமாக நடந்துகொண்ட இவர்களை போலீஸார் தடுத்து விசாரித்தனர்.
விசாரணையில், அவர்கள் பட்டாக்கத்திகள் உள்ளிட்ட ஆயுதங்களை வைத்திருந்தது உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டது. உடனடியாக ஆயுதங்கள் பறிமுதல் செய்யப்பட்டு, சட்டப்படி வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்து ஆறு பேரையும் காவலில் எடுத்ததாக போலீஸார் தெரிவித்தனர்.
இச்சம்பவம் தொடர்ந்து சட்ட ஒழுங்கு பாதுகாப்பு கருதி ஈரோடு மாவட்டத்தில் கண்காணிப்பு மற்றும் சோதனைகள் தீவிரப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் அதிகாரிகள் கூறினர்.
On December 3, 2025, police in Erode district arrested six youths who were roaming in the Chithode area with machetes, allegedly creating fear among the public. The arrests were made during a routine vehicle check when their movements raised suspicion.
Upon inspection, the police found sharp weapons in their possession. The machetes were seized immediately, and cases were registered against all six under relevant sections of the law.
Following the incident, police officials said security checks and patrols have been intensified across Erode district to prevent such unlawful activities and ensure public safety.
