2025 டிசம்பர் 3 அன்று, தமிழ்நாட்டில் நடைபெறும் தொடர் கொலை சம்பவங்கள் மற்றும் சட்டம்–ஒழுங்கு நிலை குறித்து அரசியல் வட்டாரங்களில் கடும் விவாதம் எழுந்துள்ளது. சென்னையில் அரசு வழக்கறிஞர் முத்துக்குமாரசாமி என்பவர் வெட்டிப் படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்ட சம்பவம் பெரும் அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
பட்டப்பகலில் நடந்த இந்த கொலை சம்பவம், பொதுமக்களின் பாதுகாப்பு குறித்து கேள்விகளை எழுப்பியுள்ளதாக எதிர்க்கட்சிகள் குற்றம்சாட்டுகின்றன. சட்டம்–ஒழுங்கு கட்டுப்பாட்டில் இல்லை என்றும், மாநிலத்தில் குற்றச் சம்பவங்கள் அதிகரித்துள்ளதாகவும் விமர்சனங்கள் முன்வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
“இது தமிழ்நாடா இல்லை கொலைநாடா?” என்ற கேள்வியை முன்வைத்து, அதிமுக சார்பில் முன்னாள் முதல்வர் எடப்பாடி கே. பழனிசாமி கடுமையாக அரசை விமர்சித்துள்ளார். தற்போதைய ஆட்சியின் நிர்வாகத் திறன் குறித்து அவர் சந்தேகம் எழுப்பியுள்ளார்.

Raising the question, “Is this Tamil Nadu or a land of murders?”, AIADMK leader and former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami criticised the DMK government. The remarks were seen as a direct attack on the governance of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, intensifying the political debate over crime and governance in the state.
