ஈரோடு மாவட்டம் கவுந்தபாடி பகுதியில் தயாரிக்கப்படும் நாட்டுச் சர்க்கரைக்கு புதுசார் விலை குறைப்பு அமல்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. தற்போது ஒரு கிலோ நாட்டுச் சர்க்கரை ரூ.2,650 வரை மட்டுமே விலை நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக விவசாயிகள் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர். கடந்த சில வாரங்களில் இருந்த உயர்ந்த விலையுடன் ஒப்பிடுகையில் இது குறிப்பிடத்தக்க சரிவாகும்.

In Goundampadi area of Erode district, the price of traditional jaggery has been revised downward. Currently, the price has dropped to around ₹2,650 per kg, according to farmers. This marks a sharp decline compared to the rates seen in recent weeks.
Farmers attribute the fall to increased production, reduced market demand, and pressure from traders. The sudden price cut has raised concerns among sugarcane growers and jaggery producers, who fear losses if the trend continues.
