கடந்த 2022ஆம் ஆண்டில் நிறுத்தப்பட்ட பதவி உயர்வு கோப்புகள் இன்னும் நிலுவையில் உள்ளதாக பேராசிரியர்கள் குற்றச்சாட்டு எழுப்பியுள்ளனர். இதனால், பல ஆண்டுகளாக பணியாற்றியும் தகுதியான ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு பதவி உயர்வு கிடைக்காத நிலை நீடிக்கிறது என அவர்கள் தெரிவித்தனர்.
பதவி உயர்வு தாமதம் காரணமாக ஊதிய வேறுபாடு மற்றும் பதவி முன்னேற்ற பாதிப்புகள் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும், அரசு மற்றும் பல்கலைக்கழக நிர்வாகம் உடனடியாக நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என பேராசிரியர்கள் கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளனர்.
Professors at the University of Madras have demanded immediate implementation of the CAS (Career Advancement Scheme), citing that promotion files pending since 2022 remain unresolved.
They stated that the delay has affected their career progression and salary structure, despite years of dedicated service. The teaching community has urged the government and university authorities to take swift action to ensure fair and timely promotions under the CAS framework.
