தற்போது தமிழகத்தின் பல மாவட்டங்களில் அரிசி மூட்டைகள் வெளியில் குவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. தொடர்ச்சியான மழையால் இவை நனைந்து சேதமடைந்துள்ளதாக விவசாய சங்கங்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளன. இதனால் பெரும் நஷ்டம் ஏற்பட்டு, விவசாயிகள் நெருக்கடியை எதிர்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.
கொள்முதல், போக்குவரத்து மற்றும் சேமிப்பு நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்து மாவட்ட அளவில் விரைவான தீர்வுகள் எடுக்க வேண்டுமெனவும், அரசாங்கம் மற்றும் அதிகாரிகள் இணைந்து முத்தரப்பு கூட்டம் நடத்த வேண்டும் எனவும் விவசாயிகள் கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளனர்.
Farmers across several Tamil Nadu districts have reported that paddy sacks stored in open areas have been damaged due to continuous rainfall. The loss has severely affected small and marginal farmers who depend on seasonal harvests for their livelihood.
Farmer associations have demanded that the government immediately convene a tri-party meeting involving procurement officials, transport authorities, and agricultural representatives to find quick and effective solutions for the storage and purchase process.
