Omni bus owners in Tamil Nadu have launched a protest, halting interstate services to Kerala and Karnataka over what they describe as excessive taxes and fines imposed by the transport department.
Around 800 buses have been taken off the road, stranding nearly 25,000 passengers. The association has urged the government to hold immediate talks and provide a fair resolution to ensure smooth transport operations ahead of the festive travel season.
