தனியார் வங்கிகள் 74% பங்குடன் முன்னிலையில் உள்ளன. அதேசமயம், பொது வங்கிகளின் பங்கு 21% ஆக உயர்ந்துள்ளது. நுகர்வோர் செலவினங்கள் மற்றும் ஆன்லைன் ஷாப்பிங் அதிகரித்திருப்பதே இந்த உயர்வுக்குக் காரணமாக குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
According to the Reserve Bank of India, credit card transactions in September reached ₹2.17 lakh crore, marking a 23% year-on-year increase — the highest since 2020. Private banks accounted for 74% of the total share, while public sector banks contributed 21%.
Experts attribute the growth to increased consumer spending, festive season demand, and the surge in online shopping. Financial analysts predict this upward trend to continue through the year-end holiday season.
