சென்னை சைதாப்பேட்டை உயர் கல்வி அலுவலகம் முன்பு இன்று முதல் நவம்பர் 14 வரை தமிழ்நாடு பல்ல்கலைக்கழக ஆசிரியைர் சங்கமும், மதுரை காமராஜ், மனோன்மணியம் சுந்தரனார் பல்கலைக்கழக ஆசிரியைர் சங்கங்களும் இணைந்து உண்ணாவிரதப் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளன.
தொகுப்பூதிய திட்டம், மழலையர் விடுப்பு, ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டம் மற்றும் நிலுவையில் உள்ள ஊதிய உயர்வுகளை வழங்காதது உள்ளிட்ட கோரிக்கைகளை முன்வைத்து ஆசிரியர்கள் வேலைநிறுத்தம் மேற்கொண்டுள்ளனர்.
University professors across Tamil Nadu have begun a hunger strike in front of the Directorate of Collegiate Education, Chennai, demanding the implementation of long-pending benefits including pay revisions, pension schemes, and maternity leave policies.
The protest, organized by federations from Madurai Kamaraj University and Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, will continue until November 14. Teachers have warned that if their demands remain unaddressed, they will intensify their agitation across the state.
