தமிழக மீனவர்கள் கைது நடவடிக்கைக்கு கண்டனம் | Condemnation of arrests of Tamil Nadu fishermen
தமிழக மீனவர்கள் மீன்பிடிக்கச் செல்வது மட்டுமே என்றாலும், இலங்கை கடற்படையினர் கடலில் தொடர்ந்து தடுக்கப்படுவதாகவும், பலர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதையும் மீனவர்கள் தெரிவித்து வருகின்றனர். சமீபத்தில் மேயிலாட்டுதுறைக்கு அருகே கடலூரைச் சேர்ந்த 14 பேர் கைது செய்யப்பட்ட சம்பவம் மீனவர்களை அதிர்ச்சியடைய வைத்துள்ளது.
கடந்த நவம்பர் 9 ஆம் தேதி நடைபெற்ற இந்த கைது நடவடிக்கை மீனவர்களின் பாதுகாப்பு குறித்த கவலைகளை அதிகரித்துள்ளது. தமிழக மீனவர்கள் படகுகளில் ஏற்பட்டுள்ள தொழில்நுட்ப சிக்கல்களால் திசை மாறி இங்கே வந்துவிட்டோம், எங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்யவேண்டும் என கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளனர்.
இந்த சம்பவத்துக்கு அதிமுக பொதுச் செயலாளர் கண்டனம் தெரிவித்தார். தமிழக மீனவர்களின் உயிர், வாழ்வாதார பாதுகாப்பில் அரசு மேலும் தீவிரமாக செயல்பட வேண்டும் என்றும் அவர் வலியுறுத்தினார்.
AIADMK’s General Secretary has strongly condemned the arrest of 14 Tamil Nadu fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy near Mayiladuthurai on November 9. Fishermen continue to report frequent harassment and detentions while fishing in the sea.
The arrested fishermen reportedly drifted due to technical issues in their boat and pleaded that they needed help, not arrest. This incident has heightened concerns about the safety of Tamil Nadu fishermen.
The AIADMK leader demanded that the government take urgent and effective steps to ensure the protection and livelihood security of Tamil fishermen who continue to face repeated hardships in the sea.
