கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டம் நாகர்கோவில் பகுதியில் சுமார் ஒரு கிலோ கஞ்சாவுடன் வந்திருந்த நால்வர் போலீசாரால் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர். இவர்களிடமிருந்து கஞ்சா, மொபைல் போன்கள் உள்ளிட்ட பொருட்களும் பறிமுதல் செய்யப்பட்டதாக தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது.
நிறுவாக திணறற ஸ்டாலின் ஆட்சியில் கஞ்சா உள்பட போதைப்பொருட்களின் விற்பனை அதிகரித்துள்ளதாக உள்ளூர் மக்கள் குற்றஞ்சாட்டுகின்றனர். மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் இளைஞர்களின் எதிர்காலத்தை பாதிக்கும் வகையில் போதைப்பொருள் பரவல் நடைபெறுவதால் பொதுமக்கள் கவலை தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
இந்த சம்பவம் குறித்து போலீசார் மேலதிக விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர். சட்டவிரோத போதைப்பொருள் விற்பனையை கட்டுப்படுத்த கடும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்ற கோரிக்கை வலுப்பெற்று வருகிறது.
