வங்கக்கடலில் உருவாகியுள்ள குன்றிய காற்றழுத்தம் காரணமாக நாளை சென்னையில் கனமழை பெய்ய வாய்ப்புள்ளதாக வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் அறிவித்துள்ளது. குறிப்பாக நுங்கம்பாக்கம், தீனகரம், அடையார் பகுதிகளில் மழை அளவு அதிகரிக்கலாம் என எச்சரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
நாகப்பட்டினம், கடலூர், மயிலாடுதுறை உள்ளிட்ட மாவட்டங்களிலும் ஒற்றை இடங்களில் கனமழை ஏற்படும் வாய்ப்பு உள்ளதாகவும், மீனவர்கள் கடலுக்கு செல்ல வேண்டாமெனவும் அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. போக்குவரத்து நெரிசல் மற்றும் தாழ்வான பகுதிகளில் நீர்த்தேக்கம் உருவாகக்கூடும் என்பதால் பொதுமக்கள் கவனமாக இருக்குமாறு அதிகாரிகள் செய்திகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain in Chennai tomorrow due to a low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal. Localities such as Nungambakkam, T. Nagar, and Adyar are expected to receive higher rainfall.
Authorities have also warned that districts including Nagapattinam, Cuddalore, and Mayiladuthurai may see isolated heavy showers. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea due to rough weather conditions.
Officials added that traffic disruptions and waterlogging in low-lying areas are possible, urging residents to take necessary precautions.
