திருநள்ளாறு சனீஸ்வரர் கோவிலில் வழிபாட்டிற்காக வந்திருந்த பக்தர்களின் பைகளில் இருந்த பணம் திருடப்பட்டதாக புகார் எழுந்ததில் கோவில் வளாகம் பரபரப்படைந்தது. பலர் ஒரே நேரத்தில் இழப்பை சந்தித்ததால் காவல்துறையினர் விசாரணை தீவிரப்படுத்தியுள்ளனர்.
அதிக கூட்டம் காணப்பட்ட நேரத்தில் திருடன் செயல்பட்டிருக்கலாம் என போலீசார் சந்தேகித்துள்ளனர். கோவிலில் பணியில் இருந்த 15 பேர் காவல் நிலைக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டு விசாரணை நடத்தப்பட்டதாக தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது.
பின்னர் சிசிடிவி காட்சிகள் பரிசோதிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில், சம்பவத்தில் ஈடுபட்டதாக சந்தேகிக்கப்படும் ஒருவரை போலீசார் அடையாளம் கண்டதாகவும் நடவடிக்கை நடைபெற்று வருவதாகவும் அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
Police are investigating a theft at the Thirunallar Saneeswarar Temple after multiple devotees reported losing cash from their bags. The incident caused significant tension as several people discovered the loss around the same time.
Officers suspect that the robber acted during peak crowd movement, making detection difficult. Around 15 temple staff and security personnel were questioned to gather information.
CCTV footage is now being examined, and authorities say a potential suspect has been identified. Police have strengthened security inside the temple to prevent similar incidents in the future.
