Customs officials at Chennai Airport seized 3 kg of hydroponic cannabis concealed inside a parcel arriving from Taiwan. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth around ₹3 crore in the illegal market due to its high potency.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the parcel was addressed to a woman from North India, who never turned up to collect it. Authorities suspect an international drug trafficking network behind the operation. Further investigation is underway to trace the receivers and dismantle the entire supply chain.
