திருவள்ளூர் மாவட்டத்தில் பேரூராட்சியில் குடிநீரில் கழிவுநீர் கலந்து சென்றதாக சந்தேகம் எழுந்த நிலையில், பள்ளி மாணவர்கள், பெண்கள் உள்ளிட்ட 40க்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் உடல் நலக்குறைவால் மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். வாந்தி, தலைசுற்றல், வயிற்றுப்போக்கு போன்ற அறிகுறிகள் காரணமாக மக்கள் அவசர சிகிச்சை பெற்றுள்ளனர்.

In Tiruvallur district, more than 40 people—including school students and women—fell ill after allegedly consuming drinking water contaminated with sewage. Many were admitted to hospitals with symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness, and stomach pain.
Officials inspected the area and suspected a leakage in the drinking water pipelines. Water samples have been collected for laboratory testing. Meanwhile, authorities have arranged alternative drinking water supply for residents in the affected locality.
