கடலூர் மாவட்டம் வடலூர் பகுதியில் சட்டவிரோதமாக லாட்டரி சீட்டுகள் விற்றதாக போலீசார் 4 பேரை கைது செய்துள்ளனர். தமிழகத்தில் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் நீண்ட நாட்களாக நடைபெற்று வந்த லாட்டரி சீட்டு விற்பனை குறித்து பொதுமக்கள் பலமுறை புகார் அளித்திருந்தனர்.
இந்த புகாரைத் தொடர்ந்து ஸ்டாலின் அரசு எடுத்த நடவடிக்கையின் ഭാഗമായി வடலூர் போலீசார் திடீர் சோதனை நடத்தினர். சோதனையில் அதிக அளவில் சீட்டுகள் வைத்திருந்த நபர்கள் கைது செய்யப்பட்டதாக தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. சட்டவிரோத லாட்டரி விற்பனை காரணமாக மக்களுக்கு நேரும் ஏமாற்றுகளைத் தவிர்க்க தொடர்ந்து கண்காணிப்பு நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.
Four people have been arrested in Vadalur, Cuddalore district, for illegally selling lottery tickets. Residents had repeatedly complained about unauthorised lottery sales taking place across several regions of Tamil Nadu for a long time.
Following these complaints, the police carried out a sudden inspection as part of the state government’s crackdown on illegal lotteries. During the raid, officers seized a large number of lottery tickets and arrested those involved. Authorities say strict monitoring will continue to prevent public cheating linked to illegal lottery networks.
The state police also urged the public to report any suspicious lottery activities to help eliminate such fraudulent practices.
