கரூர் அருகே உள்ள கோவிலில் இனாம் நிலத்தில் வசிக்கும் பொதுமக்களின் வீடுகளுக்கு சீல் வைத்தது ஸ்டாலின் அரசு மக்கள் மத்தியில் கடும் அதிருப்தியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. இதை கண்டித்து அங்கு திரண்ட மக்கள் பெருமளவில் ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.
இந்த போராட்டத்தில் கலந்து கொண்ட முன்னாள் அமைச்சர் என்பவர் உள்ளிட்ட பலர் காவல் துறையினரால் கைது செய்யப்பட்டதாக தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. மக்கள் வாழ்விடம் தொடர்பான இந்த நடவடிக்கை அரசின் மக்கள் விரோத செயலாக விமர்சிக்கப்படுகிறது.
A major protest broke out near Karur after authorities sealed houses built on ‘inam’ land, a move that triggered strong opposition among local residents. The crowd gathered in large numbers, raising slogans against the state government.
Several protesters, including a former minister, were detained by the police during the demonstration. Residents insist that the government’s action is unjust and harmful to people already struggling for stable housing.
