கிஸ்தானின் தெஹ்ரிக்–இ–தாலிபான் அமைப்பு தொடர்புடைய பயங்கரவாதிகள் மறைந்திருந்த இடத்தில் பாதுகாப்புப் படையினர் திடீர் நடவடிக்கை மேற்கொண்டதால் கடும் துப்பாக்கிச்சண்டை ஏற்பட்டது. பல மணி நேர மோதலுக்குப் பிறகு 23 பயங்கரவாதிகள் சுட்டுக்கொல்லப்பட்டதாக தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது.
ஆப்கானிஸ்தானிலிருந்து ஆயுதங்களுடன் நுழைந்த பயங்கரவாதிகள் பெரும் தாக்குதலுக்கு திட்டமிட்டிருந்தனர் என பாதுகாப்பு படையினர் சந்தேகித்ததாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது. மோதலுக்குப் பிறகு அந்த பகுதி முழுவதும் மேம்பட்ட பாதுகாப்பு நடைமுறைகள் அமல்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன.
Security forces in Pakistan launched a sudden raid on a hideout linked to Tehrik-e-Taliban militants, leading to an intense gun battle that lasted for several hours. After the confrontation, 23 militants were reported killed by the forces.
Authorities suspect the militants had entered with heavy weapons from Afghanistan to plan a major attack. Following the encounter, high-alert security and surveillance measures have been intensified across the surrounding region.
