மத்திய அரசு வரும் டிசம்பர் 1-ஆம் தேதி தொடங்கும் நாட்டளவிலான கல்வி கலந்தாய்வில் புதிய உயர்கல்வி ஒருங்கிணைப்பு அமைப்பு குறித்து ஆலோசனை நடத்த உள்ளதாக தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் தொழில்நுட்ப கல்வி, பொது கலை, அறிவியல் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர் பயிற்சி ஆகியவை ஒரே மேற்பார்வை அமைப்பின் கீழ் கொண்டு வரப்பட இருக்கிறது.
தற்போது இயங்கும் யூ.ஜி.சி., ஏ.ஐ.சி.டி.இ., என்.என்.சி.இ. உட்பட பல்வேறு அமைப்புகள் இணைந்து செயல்படுவதற்கான வடிவமைப்பு உருவாக்கப்பட உள்ளதாக மத்திய கல்வித்துறை அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். புதிய அமைப்பு செயல்பாட்டில் வந்தால் பாடத்திட்ட கட்டுப்பாடு, கல்லூரி அனுமதி, அங்கீகாரம் மற்றும் கல்வித் தரநிலைகள் ஒரே அமைப்பின் கீழ் கண்காணிக்கப்படும்.
In India, the central government is preparing to introduce a Unified Higher Education Council to manage all education sectors under one regulatory body. The official discussion will begin in the nationwide education conference scheduled from December 1. This model aims to simplify administrative systems and improve transparency in approvals and accreditations.
Currently independent bodies such as UGC, AICTE, and NCTE may be merged into the new authority to avoid duplication and provide streamlined decision-making. If implemented, universities and colleges across the country will follow common policies for curriculum standards and institutional recognition.
More clarity on final regulations and implementation dates is expected after the upcoming policy meeting. This transition is likely to impact higher education reforms and long-term academic planning nationwide.
