சென்னையின் யானைகாவனில் உள்ள நகை பட்டறையில், உரிமையாளரை கட்டிப்போட்டு ரூ.80 லட்சம் மதிப்புள்ள தங்க நகைகள் கொள்ளையடிக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த சம்பவம் 25 நவம்பர் 2025 அதிகாலை நேரத்தில் நடந்ததாக தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது.
800 கிராம் தங்க நகைகள் கொள்ளப்பட்டிருப்பதாக காவல்துறை விசாரணையில் தெரியவந்துள்ளது. கடையை திறக்க வந்தபோது உரிமையாளர் கட்டப்பட்ட நிலையில் கிடந்ததால், உடனடியாக போலீசார் அழைக்கப்பட்டனர். அருகிலுள்ள CCTV காட்சிகள் சேகரிக்கப்பட்டு, கொள்ளையர்களை அடையாளம் காண முயற்சி தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
In Chennai’s Yaanai Kaavani area, burglars tied up a jewellery workshop owner and escaped with gold worth nearly ₹80 lakh. The incident reportedly took place in the early hours of November 25, 2025.
Police have confirmed that around 800 grams of gold were looted. The owner was found tied up when staff arrived, prompting an immediate alert to authorities. CCTV footage from surrounding shops is being examined to identify the suspects, and a special team has been deployed for investigation.
