தமிழகத்தைச் சுற்றிய கடல்பகுதிகளில் மேகமூட்டம் அதிகரித்து வரும் நிலையில், அடுத்த 24 மணி நேரத்தில் பல்வேறு மாவட்டங்களில் மிதமான முதல் கனமழை பெய்ய வாய்ப்புள்ளதாக வானிலை மையம் அறிவித்துள்ளது. தெற்கு மாவட்டங்களில் குறிப்பாக கனமழை தாக்கம் அதிகரிக்கும் சாத்தியம் உள்ளது.
மேற்கு வலயக்காற்றின் தாக்கம் காரணமாக, தென்னிந்திய கடற்கரைகள் முழுவதும் அலைச்சல்களும், பலத்த காற்றோட்டமும் காணப்படும் என எச்சரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. மீனவர்கள் ஆழக்கடல் பயணத்திற்குச் செல்வதை தவிர்க்குமாறு அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
