தமிழகத்தின் தென் தமிழக மாவட்டங்கள், குறிப்பாக தஞ்சை, திருவாரூர், நாகை உள்ளிட்ட பகுதிகளில் நவம்பர் 28ஆம் தேதி முதல் கனமழை பெய்யும் என்று வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. வடகிழக்கு பருவமழை செயல்பாடு மீண்டும் வலுப்பெற்றுள்ளதால், கடலோர மாவட்டங்களில் இடியுடன் கூடிய மழை அதிகரிக்க வாய்ப்புள்ளதாக கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
சென்னை, காஞ்சிபுரம், செங்கல்பட்டு, திருவள்ளூர் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் நவம்பர் 29ஆம் தேதி முதல் தொடர்ச்சியான கனமழை ஏற்படும் என கணிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. பள்ளங்கள் மற்றும் தாழ்வான பகுதிகளில் நீர்மட்டம் உயரக் கூடும் என்பதால் பொதுமக்கள் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.
The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert for several districts as heavy rainfall is expected over the next two days. Strong Northeast Monsoon activity may bring intense spells, especially over delta and coastal districts. Areas like Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, and Tiruvallur are likely to receive heavy rain from November 29.
Residents in low-lying and flood-prone zones are advised to stay cautious as waterlogging may occur. Authorities have been instructed to remain on high alert and take preventive measures where necessary.
