இந்தியாவில் மட்டும் 53.58 கோடி வாட்ஸ்அப் பயனர்கள் இருப்பதாக புதிய மதிப்பீடு கூறுகிறது. இதன் மூலம் இந்தியா வாட்ஸ்அப் பயன்பாட்டில் உலகின் முதலிடத்தை தொடர்ந்து பிடித்திருக்கிறது. நாட்டின் நகரங்கள் முதல் கிராமங்கள் வரை இணையப் பயன்படுத்தும் மக்களின் எண்ணிக்கை அதிகரித்திருப்பது இதற்குக் காரணமாக குறிப்பிடப்படுகிறது.
பிரேசில் உள்ளிட்ட மற்ற 6 நாடுகள் இணைந்த அளவிற்கு இந்தியாவில் வாட்ஸ்அப் பயனர்கள் உள்ளதாக ஆய்வு தெரிவிக்கிறது. மேலும் மொபைல் தரவு மலிவாக கிடைப்பது, குடும்பத் தொடர்பு முறை வாட்ஸ்அப் மூலம் அதிகரித்திருப்பது பயன்பாட்டை மேலும் உயர்த்தியுள்ளதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.
India now leads the world with 535.8 million WhatsApp users, according to new global data projections for 2025. Experts say cheaper mobile data, rising smartphone access, and widespread digital adoption have pushed India to the top spot. Rural and urban regions alike have seen rapid growth in messaging app usage.
Reports suggest India alone has more WhatsApp users than six major countries combined. With digital payments, business communication, and family connectivity increasingly shifting to WhatsApp, the app continues to dominate the Indian market.
