சென்னை, தமிழகம் — தின்டுக்கல் மாவட்டம் கொடைக்கானல் அருகே அடுக்கம் பகுதியில் நடந்த விவசாயி தற்கொலை சம்பவம் பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. கடன் அழுத்தத்தால் மன அழுத்தத்தில் இருந்த விவசாயி உயிரிழந்ததாக முதற்கட்ட விசாரணையில் தெரிய வந்தது. இந்த துயர சம்பவம் முழு பிரதேசத்திலுமே அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
உள்ளூர் மக்களின் கூறுகையில், கடந்த நான்கரை ஆண்டுகளாக விவசாயிகளின் நட்டநீதி கோரிக்கைகள் தீர்க்கப்படாத நிலைமை தொடர்ந்துவந்தது. அரசின் ஆதரவு கிடைக்காததால் வாழ்வாதாரத்திற்கான போராட்டம் தீவிரமடைந்ததாக அவர்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர். பகுதியில் விவசாயங்களின் நிலைமை குறித்து ஸ்டாலின் தலைமையிலான அரசு உடனடி நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் எனவும் மக்கள் கோரிக்கை வைத்துள்ளனர்.
Chennai, Tamil Nadu — A detailed inquiry has been ordered in connection with the suicide of a farmer from Adukkam near Kodaikanal in Dindigul district. Preliminary reports indicate that overwhelming debt pressure and mental distress may have driven him to the extreme step. The incident has created widespread shock among the local community.
According to residents, for nearly four and a half years farmers have been struggling without proper compensation or government support. With agricultural losses mounting and no relief measures in place, livelihood hardship has intensified. Locals urge that the current Tamil Nadu government must take swift action to address farmers’ concerns and prevent further tragedies.
