சென்னையில் இடையறாத பருவமழை பெய்துவரும் சூழலில், இன்ஃபுளூயன்சா A, RSV, ரைனோவைரஸ், H1N1 போன்ற வைரஸ் நோய்கள் வேகமாக பரவி வருகின்றன. தொடர்ச்சியான ஈரப்பதம் மற்றும் குளிர் காரணமாக காய்ச்சல், தொண்டை வலி, தலைவலி போன்றவை அதிகமாகக் காணப்படுகின்றன. குறிப்பாக குழந்தைகள் இந்த நிலையில் அதிக பாதிப்புக்குள்ளாகும் என மருத்துவர்கள் எச்சரிக்கின்றனர்.

Continuous moisture and lower temperatures are contributing to increased cases of fever, sore throat, and respiratory discomfort. Children are reported to be more vulnerable in this weather, according to doctors.
Health experts warn that stagnant water and high humidity levels make it easier for viruses to spread. They advise immediate medical attention if fever symptoms persist. Staying hydrated, maintaining hand hygiene, and avoiding exposure to rain are strongly recommended to prevent infections during this season.
