ஆளுநர் மாளிகையின் பெயர் “மக்கள் பவன்” என மாற்ற மத்திய அரசு ஒப்புதல் | Centre approves renaming of Raj Bhavan as “Makkal Bhavan”
தமிழகத்தில் உள்ள ஆளுநர் மாளிகைகளின் பெயரை “லோக் பவன்” என்று மாற்றும் மத்திய அரசின் உத்தரவை அமைச்சக கூட்டம் இன்று ஒப்புதல் வழங்கியது. நாடு முழுவதும் ஒரே மாதிரியாக பெயர் மாற்றம் செய்யும் திட்டத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக இந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்த உத்தரவின் படி, தமிழக ஆளுநர் மாளிகையின் பெயரான “ராஜ் பவன்” இனி “மக்கள் பவன்” என மாற்றப்படும். பொதுமக்களுக்கு நெருக்கமான நிர்வாகத்தை உருவாக்கும் நோக்கில் பெயர் மாற்றம் அவசியம் என மத்திய அரசு விளக்கியுள்ளது.
மாற்றப்பட்ட பெயர்களை அடுத்த சில வாரங்களில் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ அறிவிப்புகளுடன் மாநிலங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்க திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் நிர்வாக கட்டமைப்பில் பொதுமக்கள் பங்கேற்பை அதிகரிக்கும் முயற்சியாக அரசு கருதுகிறது.
The Union Cabinet has approved the proposal to rename all Governor’s Houses across India as “Lok Bhavan.” As part of this nationwide initiative, the Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan will henceforth be called “Makkal Bhavan.”
According to the Centre, the new naming policy aims to make constitutional institutions appear more people-friendly and inclusive. Official notifications are expected to be issued in the coming weeks.
The government believes this renaming move will help strengthen public engagement and improve the accessibility of governance structures across states.
