திண்டுக்கல் மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள நிலக்கோட்டை பூ சந்தையில் பூக்களின் விலை இன்று திடீரென அதிகரித்துள்ளது. மல்லிகை பூ ஒரு கிலோ ரூ.4,000 வரை விற்பனை ஆக בעוד முல்லை பூ ரூ.1,400 வரை உயர்ந்துள்ளது. கெனகாம்பரம் பூவும் ரூ.1,000க்கு விற்கப்படும் நிலை உருவாகியுள்ளது.
பூக்களின் வரத்து குறைவதும், கார்த்திகை மாதம் மற்றும் முன்வரும் முகூர்த்த நாட்கள் என்பதாலும் விலை உயர்வு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாக வியாபாரிகள் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர். திருமணங்கள், பூஜைகள் அதிகரிப்பதால் தேவை கூட, சந்தையில் விலை மேலும் உயரும் வாய்ப்பும் உள்ளது.
வியாபாரிகள், அடுத்த சில நாட்களிலும் பூ விலைகளில் மாற்றம் இருக்கக்கூடும் என்பதால், விவசாயிகள் உற்பத்தி சுமையை சமநிலையில் வைத்துக்கொள்ள திட்டமிட வேண்டும் என கூறுகின்றனர்.
Flower prices have surged suddenly at the Nilakottai flower market in Dindigul district. Jasmine is now selling for up to ₹4,000 per kg, while mullai flowers have reached ₹1,400 per kg, and kanakambaram is priced around ₹1,000 per kg.
Traders attribute the price hike to reduced arrivals and increased demand due to the Karthigai month and upcoming auspicious days. With weddings and religious events increasing, demand is expected to rise further.
Traders also note that flower prices may fluctuate over the next few days, urging farmers to plan their supplies strategically to balance the demand surge.
